With the concerted efforts of the family members, the two families' hard work for a year finally receive satisfactory rewards. This is not only a cotton harvest story full of twists and turns but a subtle depiction of the fabric of lives and modest family values of cotton farmers. The juxtaposition of tears and toils and idyllic tone runs through the film.
